Florida Criminal Records Search: How to Search for Criminal Records

Criminal records can be difficult to obtain due to the confidentiality which is given in some cases. However, most of these records can be obtained on-line or via contacting the appropriate office.

Identification for the purpose of proving who you are is mandatory whether you request the records on-line or go in person. There are fees associated with each search (usually a $24 charge depending on your request and the office you obtain the records from).

When you send in your payment, make sure you include a return address. Include photocopies of all requested IDs and information. Verify this information is correct before you send it in as mistakes may lengthen the amount of time it takes for your records to get to you.
