The state of Michigan has an excellent and extensive website to help everyone from lawmakers to ordinary citizens get Criminal records of all sorts.  To get to the Michigan web site that contains this information, the web address is www.michigan.gov/msp/ which takes you to the official Michigan Government State Police Website.

When you get on the site you will find extensive criminal information in the form of an article that takes up the entire middle of the page.  This article explains how criminal information is collected, how a background check is performed and information about criminal convictions and criminal history.
